Google Ads account audit, before anything changes
When an account comes over from another agency, or the numbers stop adding up, the first job is finding out what is actually in there. I audit Google Ads accounts for brands and agencies through my own practice, MT-MEASUREMENT (Croatia, EU VAT ID HR18247511346): an agreed scope, a written result, and the fixes only if you want them.

01What the audit covers
Account structure
Campaigns, ad groups and budgets across Search, Performance Max, YouTube, Display, Demand Gen and App campaigns, and whether the structure matches how the business sells.
Conversion tracking
What actually counts as a conversion, whether it fires once, and whether enhanced conversions are in place, because the bidding is only as good as this step.
Consent Mode
Whether consent reaches the tags, and what it does to the conversions the account reports.
Bidding and budgets
Smart bidding (tCPA, tROAS, Maximise Conversions, portfolio strategies), budget pacing, and whether conversion-based bidding has numbers it can trust.
Queries and tests
Search terms, and whether audience, creative and bidding tests were run as controlled campaign splits.
The data sources
Which sources are connected (GA4, Google Business Profile and location assets, other platforms) and which are missing.
02What you get
An agreed scope
Which accounts, which questions, and what the audit will and will not cover, agreed before I start.
Read access only
I work with read access to Google Ads, GA4 and Google Tag Manager; nothing in the account changes during the audit.
A written report
What I found, why it matters, and a prioritised list of fixes.
A walkthrough
We go through the findings together on a call.
The fixes, if you want them
As a separate agreed scope, or handed to your team to run.
03Proof you can check
Inheriting an account
At Omnicom Media Group, taking over accounts from the agency before us was a recurring part of the work: audit the structure, connect the data sources, implement tracking and Consent Mode where they were missing, and only then move to conversion-based bidding.
Scale
6–8 concurrent accounts across multiple markets, with 20–30 individual Google Ads accounts on the largest client alone.
Certifications
Google Skillshop: Google Ads Search, Display, Video, Apps and Measurement, Performance Max, Display & Video 360 (2026) and Google Analytics.
The measurement underneath
GA4, Google Tag Manager and Consent Mode v2, so the audit does not stop at the account. More on the GA4 and GTM page.
04Questions
Who is the audit for?
Brands that want a second opinion on their account, and agencies that inherit an account and need to know what is in it before they quote.
Do you need write access?
No. Read access to Google Ads, GA4 and Google Tag Manager is enough for the audit.
Can you audit for our agency, white-label?
Yes. I work as your subcontractor on a white-label basis, so the client relationship stays with you, or I contract directly with your client, whichever you prefer.
Do you also fix what you find?
If you want me to, as a separate agreed scope. Conversion-based bidding comes after the measurement is right.
How do you invoice?
Through my own practice, MT-MEASUREMENT, a Croatian sole proprietorship with EU VAT ID HR18247511346, for an agreed scope and its deliverables.
