Privacy notice

What this website does with your personal data, why, and what you can do about it. In short: analytics runs only if you allow it, and the call request form only writes an email for you to send yourself.

  • Last updated 2 November 2026
  • Analytics only with consent
  • No advertising tags

02On every visit

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver the pages and protect the site, Cloudflare processes your IP address and the technical details of each request (browser, page requested, time). Your browser may also send Cloudflare reports of failed connections (Network Error Logging). I do not run server logs of my own. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in a working and secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Google Tag Manager

Once a page has loaded, your browser fetches the Google Tag Manager script from Google's servers (www.googletagmanager.com). Like any request to a server, this shows Google your IP address and browser details. Tag Manager sets no cookies, and until you allow analytics it fires no tags, so no analytics data is sent. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in managing consent and measurement in one place (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your consent choice

When you choose in the cookie game or in Cookie settings, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage (mt_consent) for 180 days, so you are not asked again on every visit. It stays on your device and is not sent to me or to anyone else.

Fonts, images and videos

Served from this website itself. No other third-party service loads on these pages.

The call request form

"Book a 20-min call" does not send or store anything. It writes an email with the slot you picked, your name and, if you add them, your company and topic, and opens it in your own email app. Nothing is sent until you send that email yourself. "Copy the request" copies the same text to your clipboard.

03Analytics, only with your consent

If you allow Analytics in the cookie game or in Cookie settings, the site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how it is used and to improve it. Without that consent, none of this happens.

What is collected

  • The pages you view, how far you scroll, and clicks on email, phone, the CV, LinkedIn, GitHub and links to other sites.
  • Use of the 3D model switches, and your consent choice.
  • That the call request form was started and sent, with the day and time you picked; not your name, company or topic.
  • Your browser, device, operating system, screen size and language, the page you came from, and your approximate location (country, region, city), which Google derives from your IP address. Google states that Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.

User-provided data

In the Google Analytics settings, user-provided data collection with automatic detection is switched on. When a form is sent, the Google tag can recognise an email address, phone number or postal address in it, hash it (turn it into a code that cannot be read back) and send it to Google, which uses it to make measurement more accurate. The only form on this site, the call request, asks for your name and, optionally, your company and a topic; it has no field for an email address, phone number or postal address. If you type one into it and you have allowed analytics, it may be collected this way.

What is not used

Google signals are switched off, and there are no advertising tags on this site. The cookie game also has three advertising switches (Ad cookies, Ad data, Personalised ads); with no advertising tag on the site, they currently have no effect.

Legal basis, recipients and transfers

Legal basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time in Cookie settings; this does not affect the processing before you withdrew.

Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) processes the analytics data on my behalf. Google may transfer data to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission adopted an adequacy decision on 10 July 2023, and Google also relies on the EU standard contractual clauses.

How long

Google Analytics keeps user-level and event-level data for 14 months and then deletes it automatically. Aggregated reports, such as visits per month, are kept. The cookies are listed in section 05.

04When you email or call me

If you write to me or call me, I process your email address or phone number, your name, what you write or tell me, and any attachments, to reply to you and, if we agree to work together, to prepare and carry out the engagement.

Legal basis: steps you ask for before a contract, and the contract itself (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for other messages, my legitimate interest in replying to them (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

My email address is a Gmail address, so emails are stored by Google as my email provider. I do not share your messages with anyone else.

Messages that do not lead to an engagement I keep for up to 12 months after our last contact, and then delete them. If we work together, our correspondence is kept for the engagement and afterwards for as long as Croatian accounting and tax rules require.

No other cookies are set on this site. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops from that moment; the two Google Analytics cookies already in your browser stay until they expire or you delete them.

06Your rights

You have the right to access your data (Article 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Article 16), to have it erased (Article 17), to restrict its processing (Article 18), to receive it in a portable format (Article 20), to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Article 21), and to withdraw your consent at any time (Article 7(3)) in Cookie settings.

To use any of these rights, write to mihael.turkalj1999@gmail.com. I reply within one month.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Croatian data protection authority: Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka (AZOP), Ulica Metela Ožegovića 16, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia, azop@azop.hr, azop.hr. If you live in another EU country, you can also complain to the authority there.

07Good to know

You do not have to give me any personal data to use this site. If you write to me, I need your email address to reply.

There is no automated decision-making or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects.

If what the site does with data changes, this notice changes with it. Last updated 2 November 2026.
